What is this site for?
This site gives you a place to share pictures via the twitter social network. Any pictures uploaded here will get tweeted to twitter and will include a link back to the picture here. Any comments on this picture will likewise get tweeted by the user making the comment, and if a user replies to the tweet directly using twitter, that reply will also be shown as part of the comment list. We have a freemium model which allows basic style customizations for the free accounts, and more extreme levels of customizations for premium accounts.
How do I use the site?
In order to use this site, you first need to Login via Twitter. If you do not have a twitter account, you can sign up for twitter as part of the login process.
Once you have logged in, you can then upload a picture via the upload link (plus sign) above any picture, or by emailing or MMSing the picture to your personal upload address that is shown on every page.
What is my personal upload address?
Your personal upload address is an email address that only you should know that allows you to upload pictures to snap2twitter. It takes the form of twitter_username.upload_pin@s2t.vg, and is shown at the top of every page on the site. You can change what your upload pin is at any time by visiting your Preferences Page while logged into the site.
How do I customize the styling for my pictures?
We synchronize the styling here with whatever styles and avatar you have set for your twitter page. If the styles are out of sync, you can logout and back in to snap2twitter and they will be re-synchronized. Visit your twitter settings page to set twitter styles.
How do I add even further customizations than twitter allows?
Snap2Twitter does have a premium account which allows one to have an even more custom look and feel for pages displaying your pictures. This premium account is able to get arbitrarily complex, and will even allow you to show your own advertising or javascript tracking.
What does a premium account buy me?
The current set of premium features include
- More detailed page customizations
- Public and private upload addresses - allow your fans to upload pictures for your event
- Selectable levels of moderation i.e. don't allow pictures rated greater than PG, PG-13, R
- Comment moderation with customizable word filters
